On the evening of August 30, 2024, the Economic Development Zone hosted the fifth Xingsha Industry Salon—a “Convergence of Wisdom • Empowerment for Development” event—focusing on in-depth exchanges about the life health and medical device industries. Attendees included Zhang Jian (Vice Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Leader of the Provincial Biomedical and Medical Device Industry Chain), Qin Yongzhong (Deputy Director of the Provincial Medical Products Administration), Fu Xuming (Party Secretary of Changsha Economic Development Zone and Changsha County), and Jiang Hongbo (Director of the Changsha Economic Development Zone Management Committee).
District and county leaders Zhao Wenjiao, Zhang Xianghong, Wu Zhaoshu, Li Qian, Zhu Zhiyong, Lu Nuo, Huang Yonghua, Qiu Youmei, Feng Yexin, and Qin Fang also participated.
The event featured experience-sharing, strategic discussions, and exchanges on development. District officials Xie Yuan, Cha Yao, and Wang Yongjiang delivered keynote speeches titled The Never-Ending Journey and New Beginnings, From Start to Finish: The Path of Medical Innovation, and Smart Healthcare for a Healthy China, respectively. Corporate representatives discussed topics such as “How Enterprises Can Integrate into the Life Health Industry,” “Future Layout Plans in Changsha’s Medical Device Industry Wave,” and “Suggestions for the Development of Changsha’s Medical Device Sector.”
Director Jiang Hongbo emphasized that biomanufacturing—a key driver of the fourth industrial revolution—holds vast potential. He urged seizing new opportunities in niche fields, strengthening policy support, and fostering specialized industrial ecosystems.
Vice Chairman Zhang Jian highlighted that the life health and medical device industries are vital to public welfare and strategic for developing new productive forces. He commended Changsha’s cultivation of specialized “little giant” enterprises and called for enhanced innovation, market expansion, talent development, and industrial upgrading.
During the event, Boya Medical’s Non-Invasive Sputum Rehabilitation System drew significant attention from leaders and experts, including Director Jiang Hongbo, Hu Bo (Chairman of Yuanpin Bio), and Xu Zong (CEO of Fulai Ge Bio), reflecting market recognition of the product.
